Hosting A Static Website on AWS using S3 Service

When embarking on a recent project, I found myself contemplating the idea of creating a personalized resume website. The traditional route of building a server, managing power supply, and ensuring internet connectivity seemed daunting and expensive. However, the game-changer was discovering the cost-effective and swift alternative—constructing a static website hosted on AWS S3. This approach not only slashed expenses but also brought forth a multitude of advantages that made the project not only feasible but exciting. Here are six compelling benefits that elevated the entire web application development experience on AWS

1. Faster Page Loading: CloudFront accelerates page loading by providing a CDN service, placing data closer to users to reduce latency.

2. Security of Information: Using ACM to provide HTTPS ensures that data between the server and users is encrypted, enhancing security.

3. Cost Efficiency: Utilizing S3 for static storage is a cost-effective solution, especially when combined with CloudFront to reduce remote access costs.

4. Convenient Domain Management: Route53 offers easy and flexible domain management, making DNS management convenient.

5. Scalability: AWS provides flexible scalability, allowing you to adjust resources based on demand and maintain stable performance during traffic spikes.

6. High Availability: By using AWS's managed services, we ensure high availability and reduce the risk of data loss..
